The primary focus of this conference is to communicate and share latest research on how “smart solutions”, especially those based on artificial intelligence and other forms of machine learning, pattern recognition and signal processing to improve the speed/efficiency, accuracy, area of data-acquisition, accessibility, applicability, and other aspects of various microscopy methods, and instrumentation in general. Specifically, discussions will focus on how this new type of approaches have been used or will be used to help solve substantial, cutting-edge research in biological and medical studies. We will also plan in-depth discussions on how these approaches are being or will be used to solve the Big Data challenges in imaging. The speakers are encouraged to present your latest research results of the related topics, but not a survey of the past work. The attendees are expected to stay for the entire meeting for productive interaction and social events.
